SMS Mobile App — Intelligent SMS Automation Agent
SMS Mobile App is a free, send-only SMS scheduler for Android. It sends user-authored messages from your own SIM card using Firebase-backed job scheduling. The app does not read or receive SMS, does not access the SMS inbox, and is not a default-handler messaging app. There is no iOS-native send path. Web users can manage and schedule jobs in any browser; native sending requires the Android app. Two flows are supported: (1) personal scheduling — your own SMS to your own recipients; and (2) opt-in batch sending across your own registered devices — the owner signs in on each Android device, registers it, and turns on admin-scheduled batch sends per device (off by default), with a hard local quota and a per-device rate limit, controllable any time in Settings. Standard carrier rates apply to every SMS sent. The app is free; there are no per-message fees, no subscriptions, no shortcodes, no cloud SMS gateway.
How to schedule an SMS on Android
Five short steps to install the Android app, sign in, and queue a scheduled SMS that sends from your own SIM.
- Install — Install the Android app from Google Play and grant SEND_SMS when prompted. Optional: grant READ_CONTACTS to pick recipients from your address book.
- Sign in — Sign in with Google. Sign-in unlocks unlimited personal sends and (if you turn it on) opt-in batch sending from your own registered devices.
- Compose — Open Send Message, paste a phone number or pick a contact, type your message. The app shows live character + segment counts.
- Schedule — Pick a date and time, or set a recurring rule (daily, weekly, custom). The job is saved to Firestore so the device picks it up at send time.
- Track — Watch delivery status (sent, pending, failed) on the dashboard. Failed sends auto-retry within the configured limit.
Frequently asked questions
What is SMS Mobile App?
A free Android app that schedules and sends user-authored SMS from your own SIM card using Firebase Firestore for job scheduling. It is send-only — it cannot read or receive SMS.
Do I need a Twilio or cloud SMS account?
No. Messages are sent directly from your phone via SmsManager or a UI-prompted send. There is no third-party SMS gateway, no API keys, and no per-message fee from us. Your carrier's normal SMS rate still applies.
Does it work on iPhone?
Native SMS sending is Android-only — iOS does not allow third-party apps to send SMS programmatically. The web companion (job management, drafts, scheduling UI) works in any modern browser.
Can the app read my existing text messages?
No. The app only requests SEND_SMS. It cannot read your inbox, receive SMS, or act as your default messaging app.
How does batch sending across your own devices work?
Batch sending runs only on devices you own and register: you sign in on each Android device, register it, and turn on "Receive batch sends" per device (off by default). The owner controls which of their registered devices participate. Each device sends from its own SIM, with a hard local quota and a per-device rate limit, and you can turn any device off instantly in Settings. Read the Fair-Use page for the full ground rules.
